The plot was pretty thin, even though it didn't have to be. I loved the premise, but most episodes lacked progression and were mostly about whether the Duke was currently under the spell or not.

I did enjoy when both fl and ml could talk about the tsundere personality with frankness.

I can't say I really enjoyed reading this, but I still made it to the end because it was already completed when I started. Had I had to wait weekly for a new chapter, I would've dropped it before chapter ~40.

I really feel like it could have been executed better, given the complexity of the story with the spell. It could have been less boring than it was.

Honestly speaking the first part was even interesting to me but...with the second part I got bored.

Chapters: 133
Honestly for the proposed story the number of chapters is right and they were well handled.

Story:
I honestly liked the first part. Events that happened by accident but in reality were not completely so. Initially it is a toxic relationship (needless to deny it but the ML was under a spell that made the FL love her unconditionally) but, good thing, going forward this was lost going towards a genuine romantic story.

Drawing/Graphics:
Neat and well done, considering it is the only product of this artist to date.

Final Reflection:
Would I recommend this manhwa? Yes ✔️.
Would I read it again? No ❌.

SPOILER:

If they had stopped before the FL regression I honestly would have preferred it and would have definitely given it an 8.

Just as the caption says. You may find the FL a bit selfish but it's for good reason honestly. You'll learn as you read. It has a pretty solid plot and relationship development. Read the manhwa to get the whole experience!

There. I said it. Bring on the hate. I can't stand this FL. I'm supposed to emphasize because she had a shitty beginning to life and all she wants is love? Well, so does a good chunk of the rest of that population in the world she lives in! TW: swearing

It doesn't give her the right to whine and plead and cry for a fake person, demanding that fake over the real. It definitely doesn't give her the right to say those things, while sobbing(!) like SHE is the victim of this manipulation, to her victim's face.

She does nothing for herself the entire year she lived rent free in that castle. The whiny little bitch didn't even try to figure a way out of this predicament. In fact, she "fell in love" instead and continued living out the fantasy in her head. (Are you kidding me?! If the roles were reversed I'm pretty sure everyone would scream gaslighting Male Lead Alert!) She refused to learn survival skills OR learn to defend herself until well after the story starts. What the hell was she doing the entire damn year? Why did she not pick up ANY kind of skill? Ugh. No. Dropped at Ch.30

I had great expectations for this and it was a great story at the beginning but at some point most of the plots were resolved and there was nothing new too the story. The story ends up bland because of the fillers at the end.
I had the hardest time finishing it (I dislike leaving a story mid-way).

I the first time I picked this story up, I immediately dropped it after a few chapters. Lol. The ML and his relationship dynamic with FL were so cringey and repulsive, but I guess that's also a positive thing about this story. It's able to elicit various emotions out of me. I chanced upon this story again, decided to give it a second try, pushed past the initial few first chapters, and was pleasantly surprised. The story is well paced for the most part; some parts of the story do drag a bit. The leads are likeable and the story development is intriguing enough to keep me reading from start to finish. The artwork is nice, just not my taste. So when there are s where the ML is supposed to be mesmerizing, my judgmental potato self is like, "Hm, I'm not impressed." Although I do have to say that little Noel is just adorbs.

First manhwa to make me laugh!

Art: 7/10 - The characters and designs are beautiful, and the simple art style really fits the story and characters. When the story wanted to be taken seriously, the art style didn't take away from it. I felt the backgrounds were fitting and the settings were really recognizable.

Story: 9/10 - I was skeptical at first reading the summary, and then the first few chapters were iffy, but the story actually unfolded really beautifully and had PERFECT twists along the way. I saw some people upset about the twist, but I think it was unique and had a satisfying payoff. The humor was great and the serious moments hit really hard. I found the entire thing hard to put down for all 133 chapters.

Characters: 10/10 - In the beginning, I really wasn't feeling most of the characters, especially the FL. It's easy to question her motivations and kind of peg her as... taking advantage of the ML? I agree that she did to some extent, but I feel like they explained her reasonings for her actions well enough and the circumstances surrounding them. Why didn't she leave? Well it sounds like the ML (under her spell) was going to harm himself, which I imagine she felt responsible for, and then would've sought her out every time she tried to leave. She had no indications that the spell would fade or break at any point (unless I'm ing wrong). When she did realize the spell was breaking and sought another way to strengthen it, I only disagreed with her actions after the threat to her life was no more. I even felt sorry for the classic female rival character and understood the motivation behind her actions. Overall, the character development was great and I loved all the main cast.

All good except the female lead

It's funny, the premise is interesting, the art's really good, and the male lead is great... but man I really can't seem to like the female lead and honestly that's probably the most important factor in how much I enjoy a story.

Whereas the male lead is sensible and a decent person (not at all like the monster I thought he might be from the manga description), the female lead is nothing but nonsensical. She worries about being killed when in reality there's zero chance of it happening and he's not even portrayed as cruel at all just no-nonsense and strict. Usually female leads have strengths of some sort, but no such hint of that has been shown either, other than her ability to live like a peasant (which all other peasants can do). All she does is cry, and in the first twenty chapters there are hardly any chapters where she doesn't. She "loves" an unrealistic magic fake puppy version of him but then gets jealous over the actual version of him who she completely rejects. Her actions in general are all of someone who doesn't think about the consequences, and when it's not crying or being fawned over she's usually doing something that's harmful or potentially harmful to herself, the duke, or both of them.

Really, she's just a big crybaby and goes from crying about being killed, to crying about being married, to crying about the guy not fawning over her. (And in the meantime also crying because she's jealous, etc.) Her only appeal other than being drawn pretty is just her major "take care of me" baby vibes because she's so utterly helpless but hey she's innocent and has a good heart.

Seriously a shame that everything else is so good but the female lead is so bad. If the author had just made her competent at something this would've been easier to read. Unfortunately, the villainess in the story was actually way cooler of a person - someone who really liked the actual male lead, and then tried her best given her circumstances when love didn't work out for her.

Had to drop because seeing the well written way the male lead falls for the female lead, while the female lead droops every time she sees it's the actual male lead not the bewitched puppy, just made my heart hurt. I absolutely love seeing when the male lead slowly falls in love and the author does it well, but ouch the female lead is not worth it.
