Gantz has been feeling like it's seriously dragging to me for awhile. I agree, the series just isn't the same without Kei.

That said, I don't know who will get the 100 points from this mission, although it should be obvious that someone will after a ton of deaths. If it's Reika or Katou (was that his name? I feel like I'm mixing people up again -_-;;, Kei's friend), then we'll probably get Kei back. If it's the huge martial artist guy, he'll bring back the kid that just died.

I'm hoping for Kei's glorious return, but it'll probably mean a lot of waiting, if we ever get him back.

Its hard to say what hes gonna do with it. This is far from the first time some frikkin unstoppable monster appeared and messed them all around, mind you last time I that happening didnt everyone but Kei die? Oh well. Frankly I dont get the impression that the mangaka has any particular love for the manga itself, so he may not choose the most popular path and bring Kei back any time soon. Not to say he hates his work, just any mangaka that will openly it he created the entire series based on having as much violence and sex as possible, and has no issues with killing off pivotal characters left right and center doesnt come off as really giving a damn about what people want to see happen, ironically thats probably what makes the manga so popular.

Killing characters is common. Those who died can be seen as side characters, that weren't so improtant, but to just make the plot move (as sad as it is...~)..
That mangaka has some strange ideas (based on the other manga he wrote, which I didn't like at.. one word "HEN").
So, maybe such "cold-heartness" can be expected? 🤣 🙄

Yeah, there aren't any strong ones anymore. ;-; Kei and Izumi made a great team~, together with Kaze and the Pyschic dude as side-kicks.

I don't think that the mangaka got a plan. the monster just getting bigger and harder to kill. now he makes the chapter so long and without really content ( seriously, what happend in 272? 7 timer ran away, katou picked up sword, monster regenerates).

maybe he is trying to figure out where the story should head........because the next mission will no one survive (exept in this game there are "boss stages" and we are in one right now)

But he isn't strong in close combat, and he's out of action as of right now, no? He lost an arm and leg, I think.

Though he does know alot, I give him that. That's probably his strongest point, along with sneaking. ;P

i him losing his right arm but not sure if he lost any legs either way nishi only needs one arm to shoot and he is the veteran of the tokyo (not sure if they are the tokyo team but i vaguely them mentioning something bout tokyo tower ) group so he has to have at least one trick up his sleeve

also on a side note as to where this manga might lead it looks like gantz is nothing more than a world wide game so maybe gantz will have them compete with other regions

If the mangaka is going to do a chapter every two weeks where little to nothing happens, i wish he'd make the chapters longer 🙁 It's ridiculous how many chapters have gone by and they're still on one baddy. I'm beginning to understand dragonball Z haters...
