When I first watched Sailor Moon when I was younger, now that some time has ed and for a while now Sailor Moon references have just been popping up out of the blue I am now thinking about the show... a3j1n

First off let me tell you when I was younger that my favorite Sailor was Sailor Pluto. I don't know why, but it was. Now that Pluto is not a planet anymore and made into a planet and made into a dwarf planet, whenever Sailor Moon is mentioned I think of Sailor Pluto and how shes not a planet anymore.

Something else to think about, why is it that all the Sailors (except Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon) are all planets? They only show the planets, and if the rest are planets in out solar system? Where did Sailor Earth go? Did anyone notice how Sailor Moon messes up not being a planet?

If Sailor Moon is pretty much Earth's Moon, where are the 63 other Sailor Moons of Saturn? Saturn has 63 moons, where are they? I mean, Sailor Moon is represented at the Earths moon; which does not have a name. All the other planets moons have their names, why is our moon just "the moon"
Europa- Jupiter's 6th Moon
Callisto- Jupiter 8th moon
Triton: One of Neptune's moons...
😕

Mamoru Chiba/Darien Shields was the prince of Earth. Sailor moon and the other scouts were princesses of their planet, but Sailor moon was part of the moon people. (Neighbor to earth people I guess).

This is only off the knowledge of the anime. (Mentioned in the first season.) I barely read the manga (It's currently on hold right now for me ....)

Well there are a few other sailors mentioned later in the series, (most of whom started out as villains), for instance the Amazoness Quartet are based off of actual asteroids in the solar system. I guess the rest of the moons might theoretically exist but are unimportant and never show up. There's not enough room for that many senshi in one series or something. Probably because Earth is special or something that it's moon is important? Besides, her role when she grows up is to be the queen/bride of Sailor Earth and she looses her powers as a senshi anyway.

I imagine that since Pluto is now a "dwarf planet", that Sailor Pluto is now a dwarf and is short, hairy and wields heavy weaponry.

I liked it as a kid, haven't seen it in 15 years. Probably won't like it now.

Quote from kitty1826x

Mamoru Chiba/Darien Shields was the prince of Earth. Sailor moon and the other scouts were princesses of their planet, but Sailor moon was part of the moon people.

There was a translation of the original Japanese series and in that case I that the subtitles only said they were to protect Usagi as the Moon Princess. The English dub said the other 4 were princesses. Taken, things could have changed along the way for the anime series. And although I barely read the manga, the other 4 were princesses.

I haven't watched/read Sailor Moon since I was in kindergarten, but I there were some Sailor Stars, not sure if they were based on actual stars though. I only I was confused as a child because I didn't know if they were male or female.

And, to be honest, there's not much logic in Sailor Moon, so there's no point looking for it 😉
