Wonderfully easygoing and relaxed pacing laced with humour and wit, set in some satirical, mildly exaggerated sci-fi universe not too dissimilar to our own. If you like slice-of-life such as Yotsubato!, you'll definitely love this. t5w58
I can only really describe Kill no More as cliche in the best way possible. I'm actually not really a fan of cliches, tropes and whatnot which is why I put off KnM for so long after reading the first volume or so since it just seemed like tropes galore (cute, clumsy glasses girl; insanely powerful, calm and cool guy; uber-cheapskate). However, this series is so much more than that. The world is...

This is seriously my favorite thing to read of all time. It's funny, witty, wonderfully satirical (not like those "parody" anime that fall into the same traps they make fun of) and surprisingly complex. This isn't manga in the traditional sense, but rather collections of 4 ed comic strips that are all related around the same characters. Pretty much Lucky Star, but with better humor and characterisation IMO. It seems to be aimed at a younger audience, although I think it's endearing and interesting to read about in the same way that so many older manga/anime fans adore Lucky Star; in my...
Welp, my first classic shoujo. The characters did appear to conform to cliche tropes initially: the clumsy, happy-go-lucky, rags-to-riches heroine, the talented, indifferent rival etc. However, Maya (the main protagonist) has particularly good character development throughout the course of the story, maturing into quite a likeable character unlike some of the more shallow shoujo heroines.

The genders of the characters are different from what you'd usually expect. The typical shounen protagonist Leez loves eating, has superhuman strength but not much technical know-how and gains an item that makes her insanely powerful at controlling magic. Other than the fact that she's a girl, there's not much that sets her apart from other shounen protagonists. The cool, mysterious and tall guy...
