Really like this one and I love seeing how the MC is growing. 6n5w68
The art is great, it's pretty amusing, and the plot is decent.
The author rushes to get to the main plot at the beginning but it is a shoujo manga so spending a bunch of time on why the character is in the predicament isn't really as important as what happens after. If that doesn't bother you (it really shouldn't), then I would totally recommend reading this!
I think it’s clear by chapter 20-ish what the thread that connects Nakama and some of the characters is. It’s not subtle, kinda told outright for Nakama at one point, still a bit of a mystery for the MCs even by chapter 40. There is also quite a bit of exposition in this manga, with a crucial piece to understanding the characters and the story conviniently explained by a side character, lol.
This...
It's pretty interesting, I wouldn't say it's deep but it did get confusing as the story went on (in of relations). It has a huge shoujo cliche (it may have started it) of "we-thought-we-were-related-and-love-each-other-but-guess-what?-we're-not!!" The only really creepy part of this manga was her younger brother, which is why I'm leaning onto the negative side of this. The fact that he does...
Gosh, I love these soap-opera style novel-adaption mangas. Cheesy, over-the-top, over-dramatic characters and plots. If you want a real story, steer VERY clear of this. It will infuriate you beyond all means. But if you like a nonsense read to kill time on lazy rainy days, take a gander.
Little Niina is so ridiculously adorable! Contrary to what the description implies, it's not a lolicon story, at all.
It's cute and a bit heartbreaking at the same time: imagine feeling and someone else's memories since you were 11-years-old. There are all these people you want to reach out to but can't overtly do so. Not only that but, as in later chapter, Niina is having a serious...
I really like this series. Great art, the characters aren't one-dimensional, and overall the story is pretty realistic for a shoujo manga.
However, there is one very annoying flaw in this manga and it's that the story-line drags on. I've read ahead till ch. 40 in Japanese and (SPOILER) Sensei and Suzume still aren't a legit couple (although I couldn't care less about this since I like Mamura more)...
It's sweet, pretty amusing and the art is adorable. So far it's a fairly typical shoujo but enjoyable none the less. The main male lead is the type I sympathize with so I can't help but look at this series in a favorable light.
Uh. Woah. A lot happens in the first three chapters. Holy shit. If you love old skool drama, this is the manga for you. Lol. Truly “a roller coaster of cracked out soap opera fun from start to finish.”
I only read story number 4 ( "Treasure Chest" ) and number 6 ( "The Man from the Past" ).
#4: Holy moly. Short, sweet little horror. LOL, some people might say the MC got was coming, some might think it's tooootal overkill. I'm of the former camp, but the end was unexpectedly humorous. A little uptick -- he's not alone at least!
#6: A pretty, supernatural story about what it means to love. I feel...
I love the characters, they're so fun and interesting, but the plot fizzled out completely by Ch. 50 and then it started with episodic chapters. There's a continuity to them though, but it's like...lol, what is going on? And then I get distracted because "omg 😍 Vasco, hi!" (love him, my sweet noble idiot). And when Vasco isn't hooking me, Jae Yeol carrying the BL subtext does.
Like the characterization of Seiko, who is the POV character, but Nagisa feels a little like a mystery still even though there are some interesting tidbits I'd like to see fleshed out more (i.e., her dating history). So far, it's a lot of pining.
Funny and relatable. Also has a drama!
I agree with the other reviewer to some extent. It seems Michiru has lingering feelings but Maya is trying to move on because Michiru hurt her too much. I have nothing against yuri/shoujo ai, it's just the series is doing so well without it. It should be about Maya and Michiru moving past their relationship and finding themselves rather than them re-realizing their feelings for each other. Michiru...
I brushed this series off for a while since it seemed slow but, to be honest, that's part of it's charm. It's a manga that draws the reader into the story with it's everyday pace. The art is so detailed and beautiful you can stare at one page in awe for a while. The only complaint I can think of is the lack of back story. Maybe I skipped a chapter but I am still confused about the Anthropologist's...
The Patissier is so besotted, lololol, and the way his friend taunts him is fun. This is episodic (somewhat) and each chapter is short.
Bonu points for a plus-size female MC who doesn't diet as a part of the story (at least as of Ch. 20).
To be honest, it's nothing amazing but the art is nice and the main lead is likable. The story seems a bit scattered but so far the interactions between characters have been tolerable (nothing over-dramatic or super blush-y).
I'm keeping an eye on it but I'm not expecting much, story-wise.
Every.single.damn.chapter.hit.too.close.to.home. Lmao? 😭
I'm biased because I really like Takano Ichigo's work (and especially her art style) but I think this is really cute. It's kinda weird and a little fast-paced, but that's part of the charm.
I can't see this being a long story and I'm glad it's only one volume.
I was enticed to check this out by the low rating (4.9) for the seemingly mature subject matter and its presentation. There is cheating (various forms, depending on the way you define cheating before it gets physical) and I think the FL's character development starts and stops too many time. The drama gets a bit excessive for what the author set the story out to be (the 2nd FL reminds me of Sae...
The story has a very mellow vibe and the main characters are very likable. Only three chapters are out, but I see a lot of potential to explore the challenges and insecurities (physical appearance, dealing with ex-girlfriends, communication etc) that come along with being in your first relationship.
Since there are so few chapters out as of now, I would totally recommend reading the first three...
It's slow and repetitive, which is so sad because it started off with potential to be more than a typical cliche shoujo. Azusa is a likeable character, as is her friend, however the male leads are such archetypes (long-time friend that is attracted to female lead and bad boy that dislikes women due to some trauma in his past).
It's fairly predictable for people who read a decent amount of shoujo...
I don't usually read these types of stories, let alone manhwas, but I'm glad I did this time.
This is one of the funniest things ever, meaning you'll actually laugh in rl. Not only that it's in full color and well-drawn (plus #1 is so, so adorable).
I only read the few chapters that were scanned (1,3,4,7) and enjoyed them all. I especially liked chapters 3 and 4.
The sense of dissatisfaction in all of them is palpable but every story has some realization of hope — what I found unique about them was that this hope didn’t come in the form to a solution to the problem in the story; it came in acceptance and acknowledgement of those “selfish...
The characters are bearable, the art is cute, it's entertaining (I don't know if you'll really laugh), and it's all around adorable.
The only thing that makes this a "rainy-day" manga is the fact that it gets repetitive, breaks the fourth-wall too much, and isn't going anywhere plot-wise.
