Not sure of the reason for the bad ratings on this one. The storytelling is really good! The pacing is done well and the characters are fun and interesting. At first I was a bit put off by the art style, but got used to it a couple chapters in and now find it fine. I really don't have anything bad to say about this story - I've really enjoyed it so far. 474c5b

A good josei. The characters are pretty mature and the main theme of "falling in love but this guy was at first my caretaker / this woman was originally my ward" lends itself to an interesting dynamic that's explored well. It's not exactly like they're father and daughter, but he is the one that teaches her everything and fosters an environment that allows her to spread her wings, and in that...

I have only good things to say about this manga! The art is solid and enjoyable to see, the story / plot is interesting, the pacing is nice, the character development is nice, the characters are all likeable... and most of all, the romance is absolutely squeal-worthy!

This is one of those guy falls first while the female is oblivious and sees the guy as her rival romances, and it’s done very well!

I would compare this manga to Akatsuki no Yona - this one is more politics and less fantasy shoujo.

In of one befitting the role of emperor, the main character honestly, realistically, fits. The story is grand and the pace is slow, but developments continue to happen without end and none of it is frivolous. The politics in this are first and center and nuanced, though not difficult to follow...

The art style isn’t super pretty, but after I got to know and like the characters you know what I liked how they looked too and didn’t mind at all.

The characters are all reasonable and act their age - I can’t their exact ages but the male and female lead are in their late twenties / early thirties and actually act like it. The other characters are younger but also act their age as well...

The art is adorable, the slice of life story is relaxing, and most of all the female lead is awesome!!

She’s not pre-occupied with love or men at all, very practical, and a great duchess to her household. The people who work there are the side characters, and it’s great seeing their interactions with the female lead. The relationship she has with them is so wholesome, and how they always run...

Tbh I feel like this is more of a shoujo than josei. The female lead is cute in an otaku kind of way, and it's also cute how she and the male lead get along and like each other. The romance is on the lighter and fluffier side but it's definitely there, and the female lead's reactions are really funny. The art is nice, and the story arcs are good and entertaining too!

Some shoujo is more on the light and fluffy side - this one is not that and instead reads straight like a really engaging fantasy romance novel. The reincarnation bit plays a large part and is woven in well, where the characters are all still their present selves but we're gradually seeing more of the past revealed too. The feelings of the main characters are easy to identify with, whether it's...

Every chapter is just her trying to win him over. More female characters slowly get introduced. The art is nice. As a girl I don’t really care about the ecchi shots, but they’re pretty infrequent and mild. It’s a wholesome cute story, but it is getting a little boring.

Definitely not a deep story or anything - this is more of a lighthearted shoujo but without much intrigue / comedy / anything else going on it's a bit boring and one-dimensional.

That being said - the female and male leads are refreshingly straightforward most of the time so while the usual communication pitfalls unfortunately still happen, they get resolved rather quickly and it's always a...

The plot is absolutely ridiculous in the sense that none of it is the slightest bit realistic at all - female is as airheaded as one could possibly be, guy is in love with her for no reason at all.

But - the art is pretty good, and perhaps more importantly, as demonstrated by the first chapter alone there are plenty of scenes where you can get quite the good look at the male lead.
