The art is very good. But the story is very lacking, and the so called mythology built up in this manga about people flying around in rollerblades and fighting each other is just too bullshit to believe in.
But, it's still an exciting manga to read. But only if you're able to disregard the bullshit enveloping the entire story. Some of the characters are just too much, such as the kid with three...
It's a really great manga! At first it was just 'rather good' and didn't make much sense to me. It just had great art, some cute girls and some really intense action scenes which didn't make sense at all.
But then the story intensifies and becomes a lot more interesting as it's explained...
I recommend it strongly!
You must read this. It can be hard to get through the first few volumes, but this is seriously one of the best mangas out there.
Try it out.
Very cool. The art is good, the story is pretty cool, and the fights are also nice. But I still can't give it a full rating, the story just lacks something to the top mangas. But this is still a very good manga. Read it.
Very nice art. Good characters and a decent story... It's entertaining. Hardly the best at that it does, but it makes you smile at times despite the clichés. 🙂
Either way, I recommend it.
I was more or less spell-bound for the currently available 21 chapters, and the story keeps expanding, so I reckon I'll be reading this for quite some time.
Only read one volume so far but it's looking very good to me! A demon boy abandoned by all... almost all. It's a moving story so far, and I'll continue following it !
Recommended !
EDIT: Chunchu has been licensed by Dark Horse Comics (the first volume will be released July 2007), thus Faction has dropped it 🙁
I hope someone else will pick it up!
I love this manga. It's in some ways very cliché in the sense that the main character is your typical weak character that becomes strong whenever his friends are threatened or at just the right time. The type of untapped potential that becomes active "when it really matters", but is otherwise very timid but caring.
Either way, I can definitely recommend this manga. It's completely random and comes...
This is good stuff. Not as good as some others so I only give it an 8, but it's still rather good. Nice fights and an intriguing plot (although predictable and simple).
But you'll probably enjoy reading it if you like this type of manga. Action and decent humor.
Although lots of Chas' criticism is just, it does -not- warrant a 3/10.
It's a very good manga, I won't comment further than that since it'll take too much effort to write an essay on the manga as some here have done.
Check it out
I've changed my mind about this manga, since my last review. It's a lot better than what I thought at first. It's not original or fascinating, but it's easy to read and occasionally very exciting. Natsu is a great character. His motion (vehicular) sickness is kinda annoying, but also a bit funny, I suppose...
And I love the rest of the characters, Erza etc.
It's good, but seriously not the best I've read. The art is cool, and the protagonist turns from an uninspired weakling to an inspired leader due to others affecting him. Should appeal to most.
But the story lacks something, imo... It's just meeting more and more monsters each turn, and no real character developement, it's mostly rather predictable.
It does have some interesting turns though, and...
I like it a lot! It's kind of exciting, kind of ecchi, and I just love zombie stories like this one. Reminds me of Shaun of the Dead etc. It's fun!
I recommend it
I love this manga so far. Very interesting. The story is actually believable (well, sort of), as it sort pulls of pulls me into it. You can (sort of) identify with the main character and all the characters feel real somehow.
I definitely recommend it.
Very cool. Brings all sorts of symbolisms into psychiatrically challenging situations...
He literally gets an eye to see symbols of different types of madness/moods/thoughts in a person.
Very interesting, anyway. I recommend it.
Rather funny but not hilarious most of the time. Angel Densetsu for example is one I consider better in the same kind of genre. There's no character development at all basically. The romantic plot with Riko never gets any deeper which is a shame, imo.
But it's funny... And exciting. I recommend.
I haven't read that far yet, but until now it's been rather good. It's well-drawn, and I'm expecting it to get quite good up ahead, if it keeps it up and doesn't screw up too bad story-wise. Hopefully the maincharacter and side-cast will also improve and add on as time goes by.
As far as I know right know though, I can recommend it to fans of this genre.
and so far it's pretty decent. I'm not a fan of this genre, I can already see what's coming... But it's a pretty good read and I sort of like the characters even though they're rather stereotypical.
It's good for a relaxed read if you've got some time to waste...
This is... very strange. None of the characters or the story make sense. It could've been done so much better. But I'm still reading it because I like some aspects of it. Finding out where Yuno and Amano will end up... and such...
Only read 3 chapters so far but so far it's been fun and stupid and ecchi... If that's what you want from this manga, then go for it 🙂
It's kind of funny... The good parts are the ecchi scenes... but that's mainly it.
But this is mainly annoying. The main character is just way too weak for life, yet he still wins his fights. Sometimes it's funny, but mostly just annoying.
I won't recommend it. But it's better than nothing.
After rereading this manga, it's much better than I had first thought. It seems childish at first, and it is. It's not a bad thing. It's amazingly funny, heart-touching, dramatic, imaginative and... Amazing, simply.
You should not miss this manga. It would be a huge mistake.
A bit unreal, but that's what it's meant to be, right? I love it. The characters, the story, everything. Doesn't get a 10 because I think some character developement could be better, but a 9 isn't bad. 🙂
Pretty much the same thing over and over again, but the story is cute and traditional to these type of manga... Weak normal guy gets all the girls and they don't really even kiss, it's just confessional anxiety all over the place..
But I liked it.
Dark, brooding, evil and amazing.
None of the bullshit attacks you see in Naruto or Bleach here. This is about a real human's... or rather a real devil in human form. Born out of our society.
This is the shit, I'm telling you. Though I usually prefer the fantasy style action mangas... This is more real than anything I've ever read, even though it kinda scares me as well.
Either way, I recommend it...
decent stuff. And as people say, if you're into GTO you might be into this.
The art isn't that great but it's enjoyable anyway.
I really like it. It's mystic and intriguing. The art is very good. The character plots could have gotten some more attention as it jumps ahead without explaining or giving enough detail as to what happened between some characters. But still, I'll give it a 9 because I'm excited to see where it'll go from here (I'm at ch19 atm)
Awesome fights... good ecchi scenes if you're into that...
There's not much of a plot though, it's just random fighting and certain characters revealing hidden powers / leveling up along the way.
It's a good manga though for the action manga fans. Try it.
Only read the first two chapters (only ones that have come out yet), but it seems to continue right where it left off, which is awesome! I was perplexed when I saw that The Breaker ended at chapter 72 right at a cliffhanger, but yeah, it continues. Make sure to read all of that before reading this.
The Breaker was really good in every way, so I hope this will continue in the same way. So far it...
It's got some really weak storylines and characters, but it's still an interesting read, sort of. The art is good and well, pretty much most of my reason for reading it is seeing if he can manage to hook up with the gorgeous teacher 😉
I can't see how anyone could rate this a 10, but I guess some really are infatuated with it.
It's not the greatest manga I've ever read... But it's got good art, good action scenes, but a rather stupid story. His conditional invincibility and standoffish attitude is kinda annoying. The teacher's humongous boobs are too big (yes it's possible). Some of the characters are too annoyingly unrealistic.
So yeah, to sum it up; the plot is awful. The characters are so-so. Inugami (main character)...
Seriously one of the best mangas I've read. Very funny. Good characters and neverending randomly funny stories. The only thing I could wish for would be some better romance plot 😛
But you'd definitely be missing out if you didn't read this! Unless you're against this genre
