Plot/Story 46246g

Sasaki Yukinari has feared women due to constant bullying, thus making him break into hives if he ever had physically touched one, not to mention that he has a female childhood friend who he actually always run into. Then by some accident, he lands on a foreign place and meets Miharu, a girl who, even when touched by Yukinari, would not make him break into hives.

To say the least, the plot is pretty simple. Not something that would make your mind boggle. No complex mathematical equations, just pure potential for a comedy manga.

Characters

I'll introduce the three main characters that actually appear in the opening chapter.

Sasaki Yukinari - a short guy with a fear for women, who gets all spotted up when he has phyical with any other female. Otherwise, he's pretty much your typical male protagonist.

Kojima Kirie - a childhood friend of Yukinari, who is pretty and popular in school. Has no restraint in her actions toward Yukinari, thus she has opt to give him a punch or two.

Miharu - a female resident of the planet Seiren, where the male population is less than 1/10 of the total population. Extremely innocent, naive, and has quite an appetite. Also has a unique mark on her forehead.

The characters are typical to some extent. Not really "down-to-earth", rather, "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" characters. Positively speaking, this removes the hassle of stressing yourself to understand them. In a negative note, the manga can be put down as shallow, because of the lack of mysteriousness enveloping the characters.

Drawing Style

Nothing much to say, except that the art perfectly fits the genre. Nothing too imposing, while actually remaining cute and lovely to look at.

Enjoyment

The enjoyment factor is quite dependent on the reader. As for me, it made me laugh, not just once or twice, as ecchi jokes never leave me unamused.

Girls Bravo was meant to be taken lightheartedly, not seriously, or at least I think it is. So people should actually enjoy it, not the other way around.

Overall

Thumbs up. Read this if you're into the genre. Although, people who love other series of the same genre may actually like this to a lesser , this is still enjoyable nonetheless.

If you actually watched the anime and did enjoy it, you'd probably want the manga more. The anime definitely contains a lot more eyecandy, but the manga, well, is tons more fun, as I found the anime to be extremely boring in comparison to the manga.
