Plot/StoryIkuru lives knowing that at some point very soon he will die all because of his "cursed" body. Saddened, jaded and alone he decides to request an AGH-RMS, or also known as "Ai-Rens". Ai-Rens are special beings given to those who don't have long to live as comfort. With his new Ai-Ren, Ikuru discovers life, love, and the moments that he took for granted, truly mean something when you share it with someone. 5y5k64
Characters
Ikuru is a young man on the verge of death. As a child he was the only survivor of a catastrophe. After surgery to save his life, only half of him is his body, is his own. His other half, that had saved his life, is now slowly claiming it.
Ai is an AGH-RMS that Ikuru requested to help him with his loneliness. Each day she spends doing new things, enjoying the time she has with Ikuru. Even though it's only a small amount of time she is capbable of finding the best of life and enjoy it as much as she can.

Drawing Style
Normal/Average would be a good summary of the quality of art work. It's more about story and the characters so the artwork for this manga really isn't that important. I'm not saying I didn't like the style though. Some of the scenes really give a heart wrenching feeling when they are put into context. Without the story though I don't think people would find the style to thrilling.
Enjoyment
Confused, cute, saddened, and a few other emotions kept me reading this manga. I haven't been able to finish since its not being translated as fast as I would like it. (a new chapter every hour to much to ask?) I also may have enjoyed this because secretly I'm a loli fan? I hope not.
Overall
Yes, and for the overall, some people will want to this up. I like the story myself and enjoy the cute moments as well as the very meloncolly. But if you are looking for action, mystery or horror this manga isn't going to satisfy. I sometimes find myself confused but the author usually pulls through, keeping the story moving along. All in all give it a read...
If you read this manga be prepared to shed a tear at the end. I've heard that part of Japanese culture is that when they observe or experience anything great or moving they're always aware that in the end it will be lost. (That's not all of them, of course, just some who occasionally experience that bittersweet experience.)
To me this manga seems to present that experience in a super-intense form. That's why I love it.
Very great love story even the other girls that was made like ai are very intruiging and very romantic. Even though there are some 18 yr old and above scenes, this is a love story you will not forget
Even more important than the story is the underlying message: The theme. And this manga definitely scores near perfect on that .

omg it made me cry so much. i definitely loved this manga.
this is an AWESOME manga. i believe that the story should have gone a little indept about who Ikura's other half really was. The ending was weird, because i didn't know if he was talking to his other half, to some person live or that doctor girl (Sixes)? SPOILER: [color=white]seriously, he was blind [/color]
damn this manga made me cry, and i love it. this should definitely become an Anime, it'd be awesome. (they will have to release an uncut verison of it tho) other wise the ending won't make sense.
I must say that you forgot to mention that the pararell story makes the manga a little bit difficult to understand. It switches drastically from the mail story to the other, and you can't figure if it's a flashback or a paralell story. In fact, I'm still wondering which of both it was. I agree with your rating. A 3 is quite enough.
But you should have insisted a little more that dispite of the low story rating, and the average drawing, the whole manga, it's plot, it's ending is A MUST READ.
