Yuuji isn't your usual Buddhist priest - he's young, good-looking, and his natural charm makes him a hit with everyone in the shopping district! Unfortunately for his leagues of adoring irers, though, he says he's all but sworn off love, dating, and marriage, and that his life is devoted to the practice of his faith. There's just one thing he isn't telling anyone: Yuuji does has someone he loves, but they can never date or marry - his childhood friend, Saburou!

The second pairing is shit

I love the first pairing! Like oh my gosh, they are adorable. I don't even mind the cockblocks at every possible turn of event just when they're about to get steamy because it's adorable.

But the second pairing? Oh, boy. Where do I begin? Yoshita has no spine and is kinda there just for the sake of falling the jerk of a priest that is Kenji. Which I still have no idea why!

Everyone was right about Kenji. He's selfish and a liar. How can Yoshito say that hels trustworthy and speaks his mind when Kenji fucking can't decide what he should do with Yoshito. He's being treated as a booty call, it's frustrating. He honestly deserves better.

Why can't he think for one moment that it was Kenji's fault. That it wasn't him who messed up. Why does Yoshito have to apologize everytime? The second pairing is a piece of shit in my opinion. Love the first one though.

Nothing deep, nothing sooo well written but it sure as hell fucking cute and gets you hooked. Besides, it is funny as hell.

1st story from this author i dont like

Apparently the two main characters are childhood friends, however Saburou stops talking to Yuuji because he finds out he is gay. But this is never dealt with, and they never talk about it again. And Saburou is stunned that Yuuji has feelings for him.

this has to be the one manga from this author that i dont like. it is all over the place. the main plot is the two main characters having sex. so we have to watch them get close to having sex and being stopped over, and over. its getting boring and i just want them to do it and get it over with. im on the 4th volume, they once again try to have sex, and Saburou gets nauseous (because he was getting a BJ and yuuji used his teeth) and they have to stop/ =/ i dont mind stories where the characters wait to have sex, but when its the main focus of the story, it becomes tedious. by the end of vol 4 they still have not gone all the way.

By the 4th volume, the two main characters are thrown aside and the focus goes to the brother and the dry cleaning guy. a characters i wasnt interested in. i do like the brother, but i found the dry cleaning guy to be creepy. the brother of the main character has a bunch of guys in love with him. i dont really like Yoshito, who is a guy in love with the brother. he works as a clothes cleaner and creepily sniffs the brothers clothes before washing them. which creeps me out. nothing is really happening and towards the end another character is in love with the brother. It bugged me that they added in an ex that is married. Kenjis ex is very sleazy, the guy made out with Kenji even though he is a married man. I dont get the point of wasting time on a character like him.

Kenji is Too Cute

Yuuji and Saburou are cute too of course, but Yocchan's creepiness mixed with Kenji's tsundere attitude are just too much to resist. I keep wanting Kenji to punch out the other guys but he only ends up swearing at them, even though this was what won me over. I don't like tsunderes much since they're just too cliche, but he's adorable and 100% honest. No gold-digger has ever won me over before.
But I can't really tell the overall plot like most of this mangaka's work, so it's not perfect. The art is good as always, not too detailed and pretty basic but still adorable. If you're looking for plot go somewhere else.

This...wasn't my thing. It was okay compared to the average quality of manga (which is often not amazing). I got bored and had to quit reading, though.

The major plot line that really made me lose interest was the buildup to Yuuji losing his virginity. I am uninterested in a dramatic sequence of events with false starts leading up to a character having sex for the first time (either with anyone or with a particular someone). For me, it's a whole lot of drama for something not so interesting. And that's ignoring that I'm of the opinion that 'virginity' is not a real thing (we made it up, folks).

I think it had potential, but it just didn't go anywhere.

I'm not going to rate this because I didn't finish it, but if I were to rate it I might give it a 6.5, 7 tops, because it wasn't horrible, but it certainly wasn't very fun. :/

another hilarious and sweet work fr. yawamoto-sensei <3 !! This is not as funny as honto yajuu but definitely would make you laugh . . i really love all of sensei's work. . the only problem ---- slow updates > 🙁 !!

i know it's hard and all for d scanlators , but still --- :'( . . if only i could understand kanji/hirragana i'd love helping you guys . . . soo -- hang in there !!! ganbare 🙂 !!

edit / PS : I'd also love if sensei would make a sidestory for kenji and yocchan -- their pairing's just too cute !!! <3 <3

Have to disagree with Miray; I love that they focused on Kenji and Yoshito too. I have a huge thing for opposites attract so the second pairing is just awesome! I am not sure which pairing I like the best, but if I look at the whole story both pairings are equally awesome and I hope the mangaka continues to give time to both pairings. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Mixed feelings

So the first chapter really got me hooked.
I fell in love with art right away, I was getting enthusiastic about the characters, the pace was a little quick from the get go but I kept focused, thinking -- the hell with it, more time for love. Everything was going swell. Then something awkward happened.

There was this guy, Yoshito or something, whose presence grew stronger and stronger from page to page. Likewise with the older brother. At first I thought I'd just put up with them for the time being, since they were being funny and all... but then the third-wheel appears. All of a sudden I don't even know whose story I'm reading about. I try to recall and I get this idea of a very charming, very sweet priest and a stern, straightforward young man who the former just confessed to. Weren't they the main characters? And who's this dude with glasses? Why do I care? And the cleaner -- Yoshito, is it? Why is always popping out of nowhere, what does he want, where does he come from? Again: why do I care? And then, to top it all, every now and again you're given these little pieces of nothings of the two guys you ACTUALLY care about that lead you nowhere (I don't mean the part they can't go past the kissing, of course) because all the others keep stealing the page. For some f-cking reason!

Oh my god! Way to ruin a perfectly satisfying reading. I've never been this angry at a spoiled story before.

Thank god for chapter 5.2. It was all about Saburou and Yuuji and it was sweet and funny and I really, genuinely enjoyed it. Because this is how it works. You don't just prepare the readers for this or that narrative and then randomly decide to change your focus. Side characters are side characters, they are not suppose to shove the protagonist out of the picture -- not intentionally. Of course it may happen when the main character is as interesting as a rock but that wasn't even the case here. Indeed, this second couple - although I do like the characters, separately - are so cliché and predictable it's not even entertaining when they show up in tandem.

I liked Saburou and Yuuji so, so much. I loved the awkwardness and even their lovey-dovey moments were freaking cute. Of course there was a lot of stupidity going on but that's part of their appeal, I think. The plot itself (I mean, the trying to move on to the next level and not being able to for whatever reason) is not absolutely new, but I think it works quite well in their case. It's probably the chemistry between them. But I really can't look past the older-brother's issue. I mean, for crying out loud, there's a forth guy on it too? Two weren't boring enough already?

The author should've stuck to the original idea (or at least what I make of it as the original idea). The cliff-hanger is not even a cliff-hanger to me. I just felt almost heart-broken that the chapter ended there, as if those were the real main characters of the story, not Yuuji and Satorou. I don't even know if I'm looking forward for an update or not, seeing as this second plot will probably drag on for while.

Mixed feelings. Mixed feelings indeed.

I'll wait for it to end so I can rate it.

Cute but nothing particularly original about the plot or story. Not to say that it's bad! I was much more interested in the brother though, and when he was paired off with the idiot character I was kind of disappointed... But overall a decent read if you want some fluff.

I really cannot deny that this was unbelievably cute. This will make your heart swell not only because the characters are adorable but because the development of this is all too perfect, you cannot possibly shun this in the dark. The characters have great personalities, even the side characters are interesting!
