I AM FUMING AT THIS ENDING. THIS PRICK JUST AHS TO COME AND FUCJ EVEYRHRING UP EVRYR DAMN TIME OH MY GODDDD. LITERALLY TWEAKING RN
Pros
- good art
- FL had good chemistry with ML(s?)
- showed harsh realities of dating (eg losing touch with friends, meeting the wrong ppl, infidelity, etc)
- portrayed insecurity well
- I really liked how FL genuinely felt regret and guilt for her actions and always owned up to them
- the childhood friend ML Dohyeok
Cons
- bro wtf. this wishy washy FL was sooooo irritating
- the ending. It was just so…?? Bleak?? Its like FL is cursed to never meet any good men like bffr. They did too much to the point that this story just ended up being too different from reality
- like, there was no build up or foreshadowing to the fact that her endgame bf (childhood friend) would cheat on her (and its only implied, so there's a chance she will be unjustly suspicious of him and will cause their relationship to self destruct) — that's part of the reason im so mad, bc this ending was just so bloody vague
- literally nothing got resolved in the end. Does she drop that two-faced friend?? Does she develop a better relationship with her mum?? What happened in Jae-on’s past which made him get the butterfly tattoo??
- all y'all review acting like Jae-on is some relatable misunderstood guy, but no babe if you read to the ending you can just tell he's the same old irredeemable manipulative b*stard type.
- this manhwa did FL and Dohyeok so dirty wtaf I DEMAND JUSTICE
it's not only a question of who she ends up with, but rather the tone of the ending. sure, some might say it's realistic- your insecurities don't just disappear over night. but the way they painted it as if no matter who she chooses, all her relationships are doomed to fail... that's just bleak. i'd argue that no matter how 'realistic' an ending is, there needs to be some sense of resolution, and this didn't feel like it. they barely showed why exactly this new relationship is working for her before they decided to wrap it up and call it a day.

I could relate to the ML in a whole other level. Years of attachment issues and a lot of short termed relationships I am actually doing better.
I haven't really found a story like this that explores relationships and the last effects even the bad ones have on you that also isn't absurdly dark. It's realistic and easily relatable.
I will say though the ending, while a good one that isn't entirely happy, could have used another before being released since it is kinda vague in a bad way.
This story makes me nod and go "hmm, yup", and I really don't have any other words to say aside from that. I don't mean this in a bad way, but rather it's that this story is "different".
It's a realistic, "other" depiction of what love and relationships can be like. You expect lovey-dovey relationships like what you see in k-dramas? Think again! Love is very murky as people's emotions are very murky. People's feelings are so hard to grasp.
Overall, this webtoon is very mellow, but its mellowness allows you to think deeper about the relationship issue that is happening. What is right, and what is wrong? There is none of that when it comes to love...
In the end, stay true to your emotions and be honest and communicative to your partner. That's how a healthy relationship is like. Don't settle for anything less than that, and be a good partner yourself too. That's all there is to it.
P.S. There's a kdrama out for this webtoon too!
That ending will make you think! That's for sure.
I would also say this is psychological - it makes you think and reflect on relationships and love. Key takeaway: don't be an asshole. (I didn't like either Nabi or Jae-eon, tbh, but really praise Nabi for being honest in the end.)
You know a series is good when you're only five episodes in and you're already curious about the ending. So yeah, I have to say I really enjoyed this series even though it wasn't flashy -- the colour tone and overall mood/atmosphere is dim/dark (given the plot, it makes sense). It's a short enough read, PLUS the art is so simplistically beautiful. And it's about art too. It's a 10 for me!
I relate so much. Such a bittersweet story. Jae Eon is an asshole. But there are many many many guys like him out there. Be careful, ladies
If you're okay with not-especially healthy or happy love stories, this is for you.
It's short and definitely kept my attention from beginning to end. I also really appreciate how the characters that seemed like trash were actually acknowledged as trash by the end.
Too many romance comics kinda ignore all the red flags at the beginning and everything ends up happy at the end without any actual character development.
That being said, I'm not sure the ending was exactly a happy one. She ended up with who I wanted her to end up with, but things were still a lil...sketchy.
I'm being very vague in this review because it's really much more enjoyable if you go in on this one a little blind
