The drawing style of the artist is likeable. A bit edgy on the outlines, sometimes like a scribble and showing off with Ken's sharp eyes, which have picked my interest. Alltogether it's rather average, which doesn't have to mean it's bad or unusual, just nothing special to talk about for a long time.

The storyline is somewhat uneven, having a few interesting twists and highlights, but also some pretty weak elements. One volume should have been a range, that allowed some more explecit character development and a better conclusion in my eyes, yet I liked the beginning and the thoughts of Ken thrown in every now and then. Anyways, the ending was for my taste just too "peachy" and unsolving, considering the state the Uke was in - and the past he needs to overcome. That's why, if you like dramas and psychological attached stories, then this work will be fine. Still, there are others out there, that might be a better choice - I guess.

I just loved it!!!! Poor Sachi and Poor Ken-san! I know how is it having zero self-confidence and being a natural actor! In college i used to act out of fun: my face says everything, a powerful voice... everyone would praise me a lot. However, im really shy and i dont like being with people too much. Also, i understood completely why Sachi couldnt act the character that shared his same background! It happens to me, when you act you put yourself in someone's else shoes (characters) that's why you can hide in it hiding yourself, that's pretty easy because it's not really you! But when trying to express your real self you dont have where to hide anymore.

It was fairly ok. A smooth read i must say, with minor charecter development and a sappy story line. There is nothing to be disatisfied with but nothing to praise either and so it remains a rather bland, mediocre yaoi manga that i shall forget by tommorow morning.

I didn't adore this one, but I didn't dislike it either. I understand Sachi's low/nonexistant self-esteem issues but what irritated me about his character was the difficulty I had in seeing him go from having no self-esteem to being a great actor and then back again. From my experience, generally people who are that down on themselves would have a looot of difficulty in a job where criticism is needed to improve the work. There is no way Sachi could deliver a perfect scene every time and now and again he would be faced with NGs. But the way the story kind of glossed over his acting career, it ended up pushing me out of the stroy feeling like there was something off and cut up the flow of the story.

As for Ken-san, I agree with some of the other comments that his motivations fell just a little short to me. I get that he was attracted from the start and it took him a little to realize it, but it felt like that's where his character stopped. I would have liked to get more of his personality and a continuing development than the mangaka just relying on Sachi's insecurity to dictate what Ken-san should do.

Ultimately, it just felt like a puppy-love romance that struggled from start to finish to get past emotional barriers -> one character was the insecurity, the other was the persuer. (See, this story could exist with any other two guys than "Sachi" and "Ken-san". It's never a good thing when the characters bring absolutely nothing to the plot of the story.)

There were some other works of this mangka that I didn't like at all, but I thought this one was good. The art was fabulous, for one thing. I didn't find the uke annoying, though I'm sure other people would. He was constantly down on himself, but it just made me interested in seeing how things would right themselves. His character was developed well. The seme's character wasn't so much, but there was really no need for that. In contrast to the uke, he was stable and mature (mostly). I was a little confused about at least one part, but I'm sure it must've been because something was lost in translation. Overall, this was something new and interesting to me.

._. i understood how Sacchi was srsly, his personality his traumas they way he was all along it didnt seem to me to come out of nowhere. Im not saying he was the perfect uke, but the story was pretty well done in the fact that Sacchi didnt change from the gloomy "emo" character to a lively more bright one, it was all slowly in that matter since someone like him cant change from one day to another. I got how his mind worked and i didnt feel irritated, i did want him to stop and be better, to love himself, and the mangaka made it possible but in a way it didnt look rushed.

Like gloomy, I have also known people like Sachi. I didn't find this particularly unrealistic, nor did I find him disgusting. I definitely sympathized with Sachi and also with Ken, as I think both sides of the table are difficult. I enjoyed this, though I didn't find it amazing. It was definitely on the better side of average for me.

While I can see that many people didn't like the uke of this story, I'm going to say that I absolutely adored him. He's just a victim of very low self-esteem; someone who can't see his own self worth and therefore subjects himself easily to other people's whims. He sleeps around because he doesn't see value in himself, and this is all well-explained throughout the course of the story.

I've actually met people like him in real life who suffer from such low self-confidence that they can't stand the thought of having someone love them, because they don't think that they deserve it. It's something painful to witness, and I think the mangaka actually portrayed this aspect realistically.

I do it that I would've liked to see more developments of the seme's feelings for the uke, but overall, I really liked this story and its characters.

Meiko Koide is one of those mangakas whose works I rarely dislike, but I must say, the other reviewers are right: she was really off her game here. The two characters simply don’t fit with one another. On the one hand, we have a likeable seme who, for a shocking change, really thinks things through. If something doesn’t make sense to him, he asks questions, he looks at things from different angles; he’s rational and logical in a believable way. This is a guy who could jump off the manga page and survive just fine in the real world. On the other hand, we have a uke who is so out of touch with, well, just about everything, that there’s something ghost-like in his mannerisms and even in the way he’s drawn. It’s as if he floats through life literally and figuratively. He’s unpredictable and illogical and so incapable of even the most minor self-analysis that it’s difficult to believe in him as a character. Someone that extreme in his thinking and actions works if we’re meant to be reading him allegorically, but not if we’re meant to take him literally, and certainly not if we’re meant to take him literally as one of the leads. With this level of difference between the two, there’s no way that Ken-san and Sachi should even be in the same manga, let alone paired together as romantic partners.

Oh believe me, I get it, it’s meant to be opposites attract here: the confident Ken-san falls in love with the unconfident Sachi, and in the course of their relationship, Ken-san’s love heals Sachi’s heart, and his level-headedness helps ground the flighty Sachi, true love conquers all & etc. Which is all fine and good for the uke, but I ask you, what does the seme get out of it? Sachi is a slut and more than a few sandwiches short of a picnic basket. But unfortunately, the seme’s feelings are never adequately built up; without warning, he abruptly transitions from being unsettled by Sachi to declaring his true love forever. As the reader, you somehow get the feeling the mangaka knew deep down it would never actually work between them and so didn’t bother to try justifying them as couple. Just as the mangaka didn’t bother to try with the explanation for the uke’s past—your jaw will drop at the clichéd-ness of it.

If you’re familiar with the other mangas that feature Yuu and Jin, the guys from the pop duo Cross, then I would recommend taking a look at this manga as they do make a number of very brief (but comical!) appearances. But if you’re not a fan of those two, then I just can’t recommend this manga as it’s pretty lame.
