this manhwa has no publisher by Astor on July 22nd, 2010, 7:22pm 4y2n2

art is pretty and story is cute but no major plot has yet been introduced...
this manhwa has no publisher since it's updated at a popular forum where people submit their web comics to get scouted by publishers... so this isn't an official manhwa. i was disappointed when the story had to start all over again because story writer dropped out of project

I wish Astor made a forum post and not a comment so I could have just replied... lol anyways.

It's published on Naver, thus it's rather incorrect to say that it has no publisher. It does not need to be printed to say it has a publisher. But, it's considered a "challenge" manhwa, meaning it's trying to get into the Naver's mainline webtoon. It is also neither a forum and while most are probably looking to be scouted, they rarely are. So, it's hard to say that's the reason it's being made. Maybe they just like to make these things. And I don't think there's a line where "official" manhwa starts...

Also, story writer did NOT drop out of the project. The author simple chose to deviate into a different story.

Could you expand on this? I don't quite understand what happened either. 😕

I don't know what's up with the whole author thing. BUT he/she/it is no longer with the story according to the scanlators.

The artist's the same. So, he/she/it probably choose to do the deviating, or simply choose to go with whatever new author gave him/her/it.

As for "is it published," if the creators were paid... then it's published. However, from what the scanlators are saying, this series isn't published... Unfortunately, the other series is (I still don't think Naver should be considered a publisher though).

So if I understand this whole thing right, we won't see chapter 22?

Uh. This sentence could mean several things, depending on where you built in the mistake.

Did you mean "gist" instead of "jest"? "Sounds like that's the gist of it."

Or did you want to say, that the whole thing is one big joke?
"Sounds like one big jest."

...

Well, even if the group wanted to do it... they can't unless they already had the chapters collected. This is because all chapters have been removed from the naver... daum website.
