It may also be possible that he is Carmilla's and Chepesh's son that was thrown in the human world to hide it from the council. Anyways we know that he is related to Chepesh somehow, he looks the same and even lark said "why you have the same face?".
We also know that Angela is Carmilla's sister hence Angela took care of Lark which is unusual until now.

It is almost certainly a bad translation on that name. They don't go through the same level of research that other translators do. Blood Chepesh is most likely supposed to be Vlad Tepes, which is Romanian for Vlad the Impaler, son of Vlad III Dracul.

My guess, would be that after Tepes and his followers were left out of the world, they may have eventually had children with humans, and that Lark may be one of his descendents, hence the red eyes.

I think the vampire that gave him his powers just wants him to sink into darkness so that he can have total control over Lark, we know Lark isn´t 100% human since humans don´t have red eyes, but I had a look at the raws ( only 1 chapter left to be translated, I think) and it´s gonna be Lark total psicotic badass and super awesome 😀 😀

Thank you for your clarification of the name translation.

It's already been confirmed that Vampires and Humans can't have children together. I'm thinkin there are three possibilities

1. He's some new breed of human come about because of the Crepsucule world's mutants
2. He's some reincarnation of Chepesh
3. Or finally, on some weird Battlestar Galactica stuff, he's some being created or sent into the world to deal with the coming crisis in Crepsucule

Seeing the latest chapter I think

he is some kind of intended reincarnation of Chepes. Maybe his soul mixed with the new born child? We'll see...

Give time when it's needed

Mabye Lark's mum died before giving birth to him, so somehow with vampire powers the baby ended up inside Tepes' womb instead for the remainder of time till he is born, she mabye want to "save" Lark because it looks like that Lark's mum and Tepes are getting close (Tepes is female as far as I know)

Maybe something happens to the other child that was just born and it and Lark combine.
