which won all kinds of awards; and did contain the kind of triggering content you described(mostly in flashbacks)

I think bittersweet is something of an understatement describing the outcome of that series.

most of the reviews I read praised Ao no Hana's peppy dialogue, so I imagine there's a lot of characters being called out on their ive aggressive BS

the author announced last week it was ending Blue Flowers Ceramic Garden with a new series scheduled for August 2022

skimmed the spoilers. speaking on the actual work itself without giving too much, there's drama, but it's a happy ending.
