Actually, you can't die if you write your own name in the Death Note. It just doesn't work.
However, you do die if you spell your (or other people's) names deliberately wrong multiple times so that you'd never be able to be killed by that Death Note.

I would probably try out the Death Note, to see if it actually works. And then I'd be scared shitless that it actually did, so I'd throw it somewhere safe and never look at it again. But I'd keep it, just in case . . .

I'd definitely use it for money.

See how much the yanks would pay me to kill Osama bin Laden..... Then collect some money from Arabs for killing Bush.... maybe off some gang/mafia/warlords if the money was good. Maybe destroy the Ferrari F1 team (I'm a McLaren, Honda fan). Paris Hilton too.

Then I'd retire in some faraway place (with fast broadand).

Don't need to use it much after that, I say.... at least until I run out of money.

Who cares about saving the world... humanity is doomed either way.

But in the end I chose "use it to torture people that piss you off" instead. Heh. xD

I'd probably kill off criminals like Light. I wouldn't however do it quite like him. I'd use other means besides the heart-attack frequently, make it look more like a series of freak accidents or something.

In short, I'd want to create the ideal world, Like Light, but unlike Light, I wouldn't aim to be its God.

Well, I'll be honest... first I'll get rid of people I hate (ie: crap music artists, annoying people, a-holes, etc.). Then criminals with serious offense that deserves what they get or being elusive by avoiding apprehension. Then I'll have those moments where I talk to myself thinking of all the goods I've done and will do with it. Plan to cleanse the world, get driven mad by it, get in a duel of intelligence with some crazy guy, and aim to become god of the world I create!! It'll prolly end in disaster... but hey, I'm just being honest... 😃

Few Politicians, few most wanted criminals. Then use the threat of more killing to get what you want done... I don't think killing the general criminal would ever change anything you want to go for slimy politicians and people in positions of power who value there own life/wallet size more than the people they were elected to work in the best interest of.

i probably use it in a financial point of view getting paid to kill someone off
